Privacy without the mystery

This notice explains what the service collects, why, who helps process it, and the choices you have. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.

Information you provide

We store account details and the cooking information you choose to save: household size, tastes, dietary patterns, allergies and avoidances, kitchen equipment, pantry items, saved recipes, meal plans, ratings, grocery activity, and support messages. If you use Plus tracking, we also store optional age, height, weight, goals, calorie and macro targets, meal logs, fitness level, movement preferences, and completed exercise sessions.

Consumer-health and wellness information

Allergy rules, body measurements, nutrition goals, meal logs, and exercise activity may be considered consumer-health or sensitive information in some places. We use them only to provide the food screening, personalization, tracking, and planning you request; secure the service; meet legal duties; and respond to you. We do not sell this information, use it for targeted advertising, or allow an AI provider to train on it. Do not enter diagnoses, medical records, or unrelated sensitive information.

How information is used

Information is used to operate and authenticate accounts, enforce strict food exclusions, rank recipes, calculate planning totals, create meal and movement weeks, generate grocery lists, provide customer support, prevent abuse, process subscriptions, troubleshoot failures, and improve first-party product flows. Automated matching is intended to reduce choices; it does not make medical or legal decisions about you.

Service providers and disclosures

Cloudflare hosts the application, database, files, security controls, and first-party session records. Stripe processes checkout, card details, subscription status, tax, receipts, and billing management when paid plans are enabled; this app does not store full card details. We may disclose the minimum necessary information to professional advisers, authorities when legally required, or a successor in a lawful business transaction. We do not disclose saved food rules, meal logs, body measurements, or exercise activity for advertising.

Tracking and cookies

We do not use advertising pixels or cross-site behavioral tracking. Limited first-party measurement records basic events such as page views, recipe views, completed plans, and checkout starts using a random browser identifier. Those events are designed not to contain searches, food rules, pantry contents, profile fields, IP addresses, or user-agent strings. Essential cookies or browser storage support sign-in, security, privacy preferences, and core app state.

Retention

Account and planning data is kept while your account is active. Support, security, tax, payment, and legal-acceptance records may be retained longer when reasonably needed for legal duties or disputes. Data scheduled for deletion may remain briefly in encrypted backups until routine rotation. We aim to avoid keeping wellness data that no longer serves a product or legal purpose.

Your choices and requests

You can edit food, nutrition, and movement preferences; remove pantry, plan, and log entries; opt out of nonessential first-party analytics; and cancel Plus through Manage billing. Through Support you may request access, correction, a portable copy, deletion, or information about disclosures. We will verify the request and respond within the time required where you live. You may use an authorized agent where applicable and may appeal a denied privacy request through Support.

Security and breach response

Controls include server-side authorization, signed payment webhooks, input validation, rate limits, encrypted transport, security headers, and separation of public and account data. No system is risk-free. If a breach triggers consumer-health or general data-breach notice duties, we will investigate and notify affected people and regulators as required.

Children and location

The service is not directed to children under 13. A parent or guardian should supervise minors using cooking equipment or exercise features. The service is currently hosted in the United States; if it is offered elsewhere, additional regional disclosures and transfer safeguards may be required before launch there.

Changes and contact

Material changes will be shown with a new effective date and notice or consent where required. Privacy requests and questions can be submitted through Support. The operator’s legal identity and service address must be published before paid public launch.
